Through the lens of her Chinese culture and the intersection of her experiences in London, Wu examines the impact of patriarchal structures positioning women and men as opposites. She considers the implication of this on transgender females, and men who express feminine characteristics. By means of vibrant satire, the contradictory series tells a story, one that criticises the formation of women as constructed by society. In order of appearance, the works’ titles are: Pray for Rain, The last man on the Earth, Prison Break, You and Me, The Vanishing Saviour.
